For 18 years, the Long Reach Long Riders have taken their members on memorable journeys through some of the most scenic countryside the US and Canada have to offer while raising money for Behind the Scenes and Broadway Cares / Equity Fights Aids.
LRLR ‘22, the 19th ride, will be no different.
Set in the beautiful Appalachian mountains and foothills, LRLR ’22 will begin and end in Charlotte NC in late June 2022. Departing from that central location, the riders will spend their nights in quaint towns from Blowing Rock NC to Dahlonega GA.
The days will be filled with rewarding rides along the ridgelines and through sweeping valleys, taking in the best scenery the early summer has to offer in the Appalachians. Evenings will be spent as much as possible in historic inns located in history-rich towns tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Taking into account the varying skill levels and riding styles of the members, the 2022 ride will offer options for all but novice riders. There will be curves galore for the corner-carvers, but also less intense options for those who prefer to ride at a more leisurely pace. Waterfalls and mountain air will figure prominently in the experience. Bucket-list roads such as the Blue Ridge Parkway and Cherohala Skyway will provide the riding experience of a lifetime, and the camaraderie is not to be missed!
