Paul is delighted to have the opportunity to return to riding on the ride this year. As much fun as hanging with Joe and Sherry was, flopping around in the walker was not. He's looking forward to getting the first 5K on the bike in this one trip!

Along his career path, Paul has been paid to cook, paint backdrops, provide security, administrate academic departments, boatsit, build scenery, wrangle dancers and clergy (not at the same time), rearrange chairs, teach people to write, draw and paint; lay concrete block, clear hiking trails, preside over a rigging installation business and an event production business, chair the boards of two non-profits, remodel bathrooms, guide juvenile delinquents on canoe trips, write lyrics, handle snakes and was a dean (and a vicar) -- which is why he is semi-retired.

Peggy could clearly see the positive changes in Paul's demeanor and general mental health, so she joined the horde in 2014. She is at other times a freelance lighting designer for opera and theatre, and teaches theatre design and technology at Winona State University.
