Jonathan can perhaps best be described as a show business "maid-of-all-work." A member of I.A.T.S.E. (Local 329) since 1979, he has degrees in theatre (directing and design) and law, and has worked professionally in many capacities on many different kinds of shows. His theatrical roots run deep: he made his Broadway debut in 1962 as the Indian Prince in A Midsummer Night's Dream at what is now the August Wilson Theatre. Today, when not teaching or creating aerial performer rigging (he is an ETCP Certified Rigger โ€“ Theatre and an ETCP Recognized Rigging Trainer), he serves as Executive Vice President of Clark Transfer, the theatrical trucking and logistics company started by his grandfather in 1948 (www.clarktransfer.com).

His best productions, though, are the two amazing children โ€“ now adults โ€“ that he helped to produce with his fabulous bride, Sheryl (known on the LRLR circuit as "Mom."). After spending thirty years in Washington, DC, he and Sheryl recently celebrated their empty-nestedness by moving to the top of a "mountain" in Cornwall, NY. If they are not home when you get there, they are probably out flying airplanes (they are both licensed pilots) or riding motorcycles.

But despite earnest pleading from the rest of the riders, Jonathan and Sheryl will not be bringing their bright yellow sidecar outfit on this year's ride.
