9th by Northwest! The Long Reach Long Riders ride again in 2012!

The Long Reach Long Riders are pleased to announce the itinerary for their 9th annual charity motorcycle ride.

The 2012 ride will begin and end in the beautiful city of Seattle, the Emerald City of the Northwest. The riders will gather on Friday August 3rd, and head north the next morning. Before returning to Seattle 8 days later on the 11th, the group will visit some of the finest scenery the rugged Northwest has to offer. From the city of Victoria on Vancouver Island, to the Olympic Peninsula and the furthest northwest corner of the contiguous U.S. at Neah Bay, this promises to be one of the most scenic rides the LRLR have taken. Booming surf, majestic old-growth forests, and picturesque fishing villages will all be on the agenda. Additional sites in the planning include Mt. Ranier, Mt. St. Helens, Crater Lake National Park, Klamath Falls and a visit to Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

What was supposed to be a one-time ride in 2004 has progressed into a great example of what can be accomplished through collaborative effort and a unifying goal.

The unifying goal for the Long Riders is raising money for two worthy charities: Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, and The ESTA Foundation's Behind The Scenes. To date, the LRLR have raised over $300,000, mostly through small donations, giving their donors a conduit to give back and make significant positive impact on the lives of their colleagues.
