Jonathan "JD Clark" Deull

For more than thirty years, Jonathan Deull has been a show business maid-of-all-work. A proud member of IATSE (Local 329) since 1978, he has a degree in theatre (directing and design) from Wesleyan University. He has worked in and out of his native New York and his home of twenty-five years, Washington, DC.  He spends part of his time as Executive Vice President of his family’s theatrical transportation business, Clark Transfer, and has recently begun teaching theatre at the high school level at the new performing arts facility for which he served as Theatre Design Consultant.  He does aerial performer rigging for circus and aerial dance performances, and is preparing to take the ETCP rigging certification exam later this year.  Other gigs have included serving with Save the Children (USA) and similar international NGOs, as well as directing and producing television and video documentaries on development and conflict resolution in more than twenty countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. He is qualified both as an attorney and as a commercial pilot (ASEL, Instrument) who flies volunteer missions for Angel Flight.
